Busy Kids

And so it begins! Nessa has started walking around and getting into all sorts of things. She has mastered taking caps off MARKERS and luckily found a "canvas" that was easy to clean.
Kaylee and I made GLASS FLOWERS at Thanksgivng Point. It was really fun to see how the artists manipulate the melted glass and we got to use all sorts of tools to shape the 2100 degree glass into our flowers.
Stetson got to DRESS UP like a 100 YEAR OLD MAN for his 100th day at SCHOOL. I love that Jared and Stets got in and glued all the cotton balls on his beard.

Nessa's First Birthday!

Ever since the two older kids gave Nessa candy at Halloween, Nessa has refused any food but chocolate. She was super excited to have this huge chocolate cake to herself.
Kaylee was really worried about Nessa getting burned from her candle and Nessa was just upset she couldn't eat the cake that was right in front of her. She is her mother's daughter!
Opening presents! The kids and cousins had so much fun helping her open her presents and showing her how to play with them! I just can't believe she is one already! This year has flown by and she is starting to show her personality. It has been so fun watching her copy everything we do: talking on the phone, brushing her hair and teeth, putting on lotion, blowing kisses. One of her first words was "Thank You" which she translates to "Give that to me right now". She started walking just a week after she turned one.

Deck the Halls

The kids just love helping Jared and me set up and decorate the tree.
Nessa even got in on the action. She didn't even assault the tree decorations as much as the cat did last year!

Halloween

Halloween included a PEACOCK PRINCESS, INDIAN, and LADYBUG.
We have a family tradition of CUSTOM PANCAKES. Sometimes we get a little carrried away...

Kaylee's Hobbies

Kaylee entered a PAINTING she did with GRANDMA STONE for REFLECTIONS and came in FIRST PLACE!
Kaylee was begging me to teach her how to SEW. We started with this camo PILLOWCASE.
One of Kaylee's favorite snacks after school is this delight she invented: wheat bread, peanut butter, bananas, marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Yummy!

Janessa's Growing up

Jared sometimes refuses to put Nessa in her crib so that she will fall asleep in his arms.
She's chunky and she knows it! She works out!
Nessa likes to "taste test" our freshly picked
TOMATOES from our garden.

Fun with Friends

Whether playing sequence or bbq-ing some steak,
we always have a BLAST with our FRIENDS!
